We all have one and many of us spend a large proportion of our lives at one. What are we talking about? Sofas - they come in many different styles, shapes sizes and colours. If you walk into any house in the UK probably one of the first things that you are going to notice is the sofa. It will probably tell you a lot about the people who live in the house.
For example if you walked into a student house it is likely that the sofa would not be in very good condition it may have a couple of stains on it and have a general look of not being loved. Whereas if you were to walk in to an older persons house. The sofa is likely to be more traditional in style. It will probably be well maintained and will probably be a harder wearing fabric sofa.
On the other hand if you were to walk into the lounge of a young family it would look different again. The sofa is more likely to be made of leather as it is easier to keep clean which is great if you have kids. The style of the sofa will probably be more modern such as a corner sofa. As you can see a sofa makes a big difference to the style of our homes and the perceptions of the people who live there.
When it comes to choosing a sofa there is a wider choice available now than ever. Currently some of the most popular styles are corner sofas which are great as they are really big allowing you to spread out and put your feet up. Corner sofas also look really trendy and modern. Recliner sofas can be really beneficial if you have limited space as they allow you to put your feet up without needing to have space to store a foot stool.
Leather sofas are hard wearing and are particularly fashionable at present as they have a contemporary look.
